Dial: tortoise-shell; yellow gold “Bâton” hands. Movement: calibre 2323, manual-winding, 17 jewels. –– Case based on the French invention patent No. 1 203 255, delivered on 27 July 1959, to Boucheron S.A., Paris (France), for “Perfectionnements aux fermoirs pour bracelets-montres” (improvements to watch strap clasps). Patent filed on 10 September 1958 and published on 18 January 1960. Julien Bonnet, of Paris (France), is credited as the inventor. The patent was also registered in Switzerland under No. 344 376 as a “Fermoir de montre-bracelet” (wristwatch clasp), filed on 30 September 1958, registered on 31 January 1960 and published on 15 March 1960. A further patent was subsequently registered in Switzerland, No. 397 542, also entitled “Fermoir de montre-bracelet” (Wwristwatch clasp), filed on 15 February 1963, registered on 15 August 1965 and already published on 30 April 1965.
