BERTHOUD OF PARIS - a late 18th century French 18ct three-colour gold enamel and paste open-face key-wind verge pocket watch, circa 1780, white enamel dial with black Roman numeral hour markers, and paste foliate hands with pierced and engraved balance bridge, silver regulation and round pillars, the case with raised three-colour gold decoration, the reverse with a hand painted enamel plaque depicting a lady in a pink gown, surrounded by rose-cut paste, surmounted by crown with laurel swags, case maker IT, case width 42mm, 57.7g gross, working order, Movement – currently working Dial - a few tiny edge nicks and circular marks from hands Glass - clean Hands - 2 paste stones missing, otherwise good Case - 3 paste stones missing, otherwise clean
