Audemars Piguet’s Royal Oak is a phenomenon and has become one of the most iconic and successful wristwatch models of all time, although, it did not begin this way. The watch was the first stainless steel timepiece marketed as a luxury timepiece which was a completely alien concept when it was introduced in 1972.
