Debuting in 1993 to a shocked Baselworld, the Royal Oak Offshore was designed to expand upon Audemars Piguet's ever-iconic Royal Oak collection as a genuine sports-focused timepiece that took the reins from the Royal Oak. Designed so that it could take some serious wear and tear while continuing to perform at the highest standards possible, the Royal Oak Offshore epitomized a luxury sports watch by all accounts – a sector within the market it has grown to define. Featuring AP's artisanal craftsmanship like always, avant-garde design, and an impeccable taste for the horological, the Royal Oak Offshore was, and still is, a true maverick amongst both; AP’s offerings and the entire industry's. However, the Offshore collection has also been used by AP to fuse the world of horology and pop culture together, much like this Royal Oak Offshore Music Edition that AP debuted in 2022. Celebrating the world of music, this 37mm titanium timepiece features a blue dial that features the Offshore’s signature Grande Tapisserie, while also using the resulting effect to represent a digital VU meter. Additionally, its crown guards also represent the music industry as they look like mixer faders with their knurled texture providing improved grip for the producer. Offered on a blue quick-change rubber strap with a “constellation” effect like that of a disco ball and with three more colorful straps to choose from, this is one colorful timepiece that is down to boogie.
THE DIAL Boasting a blue dial with the Offshore's "Grande Tapisserie" texture, AP have ingeniously replicated the display of a digital VU meter by inserting a variety of colorful columns across its display.
THE CONSTRUCTION Offered as the smaller variant within the Offshore Music Edition collection, the ref. 77600TI's lightweight 37mm titanium construction allows it to be enjoyed by an abundance of wrist sizes.
