The model was presented as the first wristwatch to have moon phases that can turn 360 degrees on the dial. The dial thus varies each day with the everchanging positions of the moon phases, providing a visual feast for the wearer. The date change at 12 o'clock further corresponds to the alternating moon phases, while the graduations on the flange enables the wearer to determine the hours and minutes. Cased in bi-colour 18k pink and white gold, the Orbita Lunae flaunts a mesmerising guilloché 22k blue gold dial and its "triangular" lugs were made in 2002 specifically for the model. The current model, in particular, is in excellent condition.
