Today the house, which has remained in the family, has an atypical and historic history. The reference Grands Fonds d'époque equips the divers of the French Navy from 1963 to 1974, but also the mine clearance divers of Toulon as well as the famous commando Hubert and some divers of Calypso. It is now reissued in a very nice way, the whole looks almost identical, but it is updated and modernised, to become a watch totally in line with the current trend of diver's watches. The case of the original model measures 36mn in diameter, the new model increases its dimension to 40.5mn, it remains very faithful to the 1963 reference. Relatively thin it is easily portable with a thickness of 13.85mn. The alloy used, rich in magnesium, gives it antimagnetic properties. The bezel is atypical and very unusual, there is an opening on the edge with three central points at the 12 o'clock level. Black or brown dial with indexes and numerals 3,6,9 and 12 o'clock. Large and uncommon needles are luminescent, very legible when diving. The crown screwed in at 6 o'clock is specific to the model, it makes it unique and gives it a special aesthetic. The bracelet can be made of steel, leather or nato. The movement is mechanical self-winding, the reliable and robust eta 2824-2 calibre. Here is a reissue of a model particularly appreciated by collectors and Tool Watch enthusiasts. A watch apart in the vast world of modern diving watches.
