ZENITH Elite HW Chronmètre, Chronomaster, Ref. 30.0240.655/01, movement no. 35872, case no. 1463, sold in 2000. A fine and rare, manual winding, 18K yellow gold, tonneau-shaped, certified chronometer wristwatch with guilloche silvered dial and applied gold Breguet numerals, gold Leaf hands, power reserve and date indications, leather strap with an 18K yellow gold Zenith buckle. Fitted a Cal. 655, rhodium-plated, 32 jewels, monometallic balance, self-compensating flat balance spring, shock-absorbers, hand wound, hack mechanism, snap on gold case back, sapphire crystal. Dial, case and movement signed. Diam. 35.90 mm. Thickness 8.30 mm. Accompanied by a fitted red presentation box, cosc certificate and guarantee dated December 2000. In the Zenith book, by Manfred Rössler, Damiani edition 2008, page 201, we can read that caliber 655 was in production from 1997 to 2003, with a production of approx. 6450 pieces. Calibers 650 and 655 were the only manual winding movements in the Elite line.
