However, the Chronomaster Sport is an ambitious creation powered by the Caliber El Primero 3600, which enhances the readability of time measurements down to 1/10 of a second through the chronograph seconds counter in the center of the dial—a counter that completes one revolution every 10 seconds. This design more powerfully highlights the benefits of the traditional high-beat chronograph operating at 36,000 vibrations per hour. While the conventional Cal. 400 series used a fourth wheel that completes one revolution per minute as the chronograph’s power source, the El Primero 3600 utilizes a gear coaxial with the escape wheel, enabling a hand speed six times faster than before. It is also worth noting that, to complement the high-speed central chronograph seconds hand, the watch features an unconventional three-counter layout with a 60-second counter at the 3 o’clock position and a 60-minute counter at the 6 o’clock position.
