Description

1970s YEMA Meangraf Super Chronograph Valjoux 7734 38.5mm

Here we have a 1970s YEMA Meangraf Super Chronograph Valjoux 7734, featuring a 38.5mm chrome case that sits comfortably on your wrist thanks to its flat-ended, short lugs. Its curved flanks lead to a lug-to-lug length of 46mm and a case thickness of 13mm. On the right, we have the chronograph pushers, and in the centre, a coin-edged crown. The wide black friction-fit rotating bezel features a silver KM/H scale to calculate average speed. A domed crystal sits above a matte black bicompax dial. An elapsed timescale surrounds a minute track, precisely executed above slim baton indexes marking the hours; at 3 o’clock, a 30-minute register, and at 9 o’clock, a running seconds. Baton hands are complemented by an orange tapered chronograph hand. At 6 o’clock, a framed date window. At noon, we have the Yema motif, and at 6 o’clock, Meangraf Super completes this vintage racing bicompax chronograph. On the reverse, a solid screw-down case back is engraved with the watch's details. Inside a manually wound Valjoux 7734, 17 jewels, 18,000 beats per hour, a true workhorse of a chronograph produced in Switzerland until 1974, the top pusher activates Start/Stop, and the bottom pusher Resets. It comes paired with a well-suited 20mm strap and pin buckle.
