Wittnauer was Longines entry level line of watches. Therefore it was rare to find with a solid 14 karat gold case. The dial is very clean and original. The case has probably been polished in the past but has not been polished by me. There is extensive personal engraving on the caseback which has significant wear but is still very legible. I left this engraving since it is part of the history of the watch. It shows the watch was presented in 1969. The crown is a generic replacement. The calendar is changed by firmly pressing the crown in. The watch has been overhauled and all functions are working properly. I haven’t shown movement or inside caseback pics because this is a front loader and I don’t have the technology to disassemble the watch. This would be a fine entry level vintage gold watch for someone.
