?River Landscape? Markwick Markham, Borrell, London, No. 24600. Made for the Islamic market, the inner case with London hallmarks for 1813 - 1814. Very fine, 18K gold and painted on enamel, triplecased pocket watch., C. Outer: two-body, scalloped edges, bezels decorated with pale blue, green and white enamel and red flower heads. Middle: two-body, the bezel and border decorated to match the outer case, back painted with river landscape under an opalescent sky. Inner: two-body, hinged, polished. D. White enamel, Islamic numerals, outer minute track and Islamic five-minute numerals. Gold ?beetle? hour hand. M. 24 mm., frosted gilt full-plate with pierced vaseshaped pillars, fusee and chain, verge escapement, steel balance wheel, foliate cock pierced and chased with initials, silver regulation dial.
