Louis Gérard (1923-2006), master jeweler for VAN CLEEF & ARPELS, founded his own house "M. GERARD" in 1968 at 8 avenue Montaigne, in Paris. Nine years later, he is recognized as the most export-selling French jeweler. It quickly seduced an international clientele and became a popular reference for French luxury. In 1985, Louis Gérard sold his house to an American investment company. He refounded a new house "Louis Gérard" in 1988, then definitively ceased all activity in 1991.
