Otsuka Lotec No. 5 Kai

Description

Otsuka Lotec No. 5 Kai - Serial #18342

Crafted by the visionary Jiro Katayama in his Tokyo studio, the No. 5 Kai is a masterclass in industrial brutalism and mechanical ingenuity. Courtesy of a module designed and built by Mr. Katayama, a wandering hour time display is implemented by way of three satellite hour discs traveling along the minute track positioned on the 3 o'clock side. Adjacent to the minute track lies a rotating disc indicating the seconds, and to the left of this disc is a partial view of the escapement. Since most of the goodies are seen dial side, a solid caseback seals up the Miyota 9015 automatic winding caliber which beats at 4 Hz and delivers a power reserve of 40 hours. The Stainless Steel case measures 40.5mm x 12.2mm x 47.2mm lug-to-lug and is in excellent condition. Furnished on an unworn OEM black calfskin strap with steel Otsuka Lotec pin buckle. Complete with Box and Papers dated December 5th, 2025.
