John WILLIAMSON, London, circa 1750 Pocket watch composed of three cases. The first is in gold metal covered with partially faded green shagreen. It protects the second case, very richly decorated using the embossed technique, of which we can see the traces of the tool that worked the 18k (750 thousandths) yellow gold. The scene represents Mars and Venus surprised by Vulcan. It's splendid ! This second case contains the watch which is in smooth 18k (750 thousandths) gold of the greatest apparent simplicity. Manual mechanical movement with key (one present, one non-functional). Cock movement, verge escapement. Barrel Read more rocket. Platinum signed and bearing the number 453. Enamel dial painted with Roman numerals and divisions in Arabic numerals from 5' to 60'. Small lack of enamel at 6 o'clock. Very good state. Functional during the expertise. Gross weight: 107.5 g.
