Inspired from the Van Cleef & Arpels building facade in Place Vendôme, Paris, this ladies watch is from one of the World’s most exclusive brands.
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
While we don’t have the papers for this watch, we do have a magazine article from 1997 that features the range. This watch will have been made around that time.
CONDITION
Van Cleef & Arpels are so exclusive that most people have not heard of them. Looking at the watches on their website, they are not targeting the mass market – there is nothing as crude as the ability to filter by price, but it appears that more watches are over £100,000 than under £10,000, The Facade model here is a lot more affordable as the main material is stainless steel, with thick bands of 18k gold top and bottom. We have shown a picture of the front of their boutique (not available on c24 platform) to show where the designer got their inspiration from for the case design – they were walking to work! The movement is a simple but good quartz movement to set and forget, and we will install a brand new battery before sending the watch out to the new owner. The bracelet is quite long and our sister website may have extra links if required. The bracelet has been cleaned in our ultrasonic bath.
This watch will be supplied with our branded presentation box and our Certificate of Authenticity.
