Limited to precisely 247 individually numbered examples, this timepiece exemplifies the maison’s mastery of technical refinement and aesthetic restraint. The reference 47247 belongs to the Malte collection, relaunched in 2000 and inspired by Vacheron Constantin’s archival designs from the early twentieth century. Produced in platinum, the 37mm case features elegantly curved Art Deco-inspired lugs, a sweeping mid-case, and a stepped bezel. At the heart of the 47247 lies its openworked dial, which grants an unobstructed view of the automatic calibre 1126/1. Originally derived from the Jaeger-LeCoultre calibre 889, the movement delivers a power reserve of up to 48 hours. The semi-skeletonized construction reveals the intricate architecture of the bridges and gears, accentuated by a central Maltese cross motif. The primary complication is a retrograde 31-day date display, arched across the upper portion of the dial. A sub-dial at 6 o’clock indicates the day of the week.
