Beautiful Vacheron Constantin Overseas from the first generation reference 42042 in well preserved and unpolished condition accompanied by the fullset as well as an extract of the archives. The white dial with lovely guilloche finish is in perfect condition and has no patina nor damage. The tritium lume has patinated slightly to a creme color which is a lovely contrast to the bright white of the dial. The case is in very good condition with no more than micro swirls. It has never been polished and has the correct finishing on the sides, the bevels and the bezel. The bracelet has the correct and super important early butterfly clasp with one of the best closing mechanism we’ve seen so far. It has only very light stretch to it and has no deep scratches too.
