Introduced in 2000, one of the model's most appealing feature is its beautifully engraved moon phase disc, a design element so iconic that Vacheron Constantin continued using it in the 'Tour de l'Ile' grand complication and in the more recent 'Patrimony Traditionnelle' perpetual calendar chronograph. Fitted with calibre 1141, reference 47112 was in production until 2006⁄2007 and available exclusively in platinum or yellow gold, such as the present timepiece. Notably, it is also fitted with a hinged officer-style case back revealing a sapphire display offering a discreet view of the beautifully finished movement.
