This particular example is number 38 in a limited edition of 501 yellow gold crafted pieces created to celebrate the brand's 250th anniversary in 2005. In addition, 501 pieces of pink and white gold as well as 252 in platinum were made. A total of 1'755 watches were produced, a symbolic figure that directly alludes to the year that Vacheron Constantin was established. The Geneva authorities made an uncommon exception for this historic anniversary, permitting the Geneva Seal emblem to be prominently displayed on the dial. This unique permission has added an additional layer of mystique and prestige to these anniversary timepieces.
