Paying homage to the original 1907 release, this watch encapsulates the artistry that Vacheron Constantin embodies. Winning over 20 first place prizes between 1931 and 1961 for models submitted to the observatory, Vacheron has shown consistent quality and mastery with their movements. The dial is comprised of hand-crafted enamel that has been through numerous rounds of firing in a kiln. Commonly baked over five to seven rounds of heating, the enamel dial strengthens each time. These dials are designed to withstand traditional aging and oxidation that metal dials may experience over time and can remain in excellent condition for centuries if cared for properly. The enamel work serves as a true testament to early watchmaking, where these dials were often seen positioned inside pocket watches. This watch also features two certifications on the movement, one featuring the Hallmark of Geneva and the second showcasing the Swiss Official Chronometer testing Institute, also known as the COSC. Both recognize the craftsmanship and quality of the movement. Amongst some of the prerequisites, the watch must perform and stay within a daily average rate of -4 to +6 seconds per day over 15 consecutive days of testing. The watch is also tested in 6 positions across three temperatures.
