The Vacheron Constantin Historiques American 1921 is a re-interpretation of a driver’s watch that was developed in 1919. The layout of the dial was specifically designed to make it possible to read the time while keeping one's hands on the steering wheel. This remarkable Art Deco-styled design has remained popular among collectors over the years. In fact, Michelin-starred chef Eric Ripert of Le Bernardin fame can be counted among the watch’s fans. The elegantly grained dial is offset by the concentric circle of the sub-seconds register, while the oversized Breguet numerals and hands truly deliver on the feel of the Roaring Twenties.
