FULL SET, INCLUDING BOX and PAPERS. I am offering this outstanding example of a mid-century Chronomètre Royal watch for sale from my personal collection. This is reference 4907 from 1957. This example was sold to me through the Collectionneurs program directly from Vacheron Constantin in 2019 and comes as a COMPLETE SET with original boxes and papers issued with the watch. Vacheron Constantin watchmakers completed a full restoration of the movement, case and dial leaving all original parts. The watch is in nearly the condition that it was when it left the factory in 1957. The dial has a beautiful and even patina. The strap and buckle are in nearly new condition as well. The Chronomètre Royals from the 1950s were among the first wrist watches with hacking seconds and certified as chronometers for civilian use. These were some of the first "tool" watches produced for civilian customers. This is a really magnificent watch, and this particular example is in superb original condition. The size is 35mm but it wears bigger due to the very large straight lugs. The watch is running perfectly after more than 60 years. The movement is in working condition at the time of listing the watch for sale. Please note that the movement has not been tested for the accuracy of time and may need a service at the buyer's expense.
