Released in 2016, the Vacheron Constantin Overseas Chronograph ref. 5500V took on a whole new dimension for the famed model. Equipped with the firm’s first in-house chronograph caliber 5200, it marks an important milestone for the Maison. Retaining similar aesthetics to previous models, subtle changes such as the rising case sides allows the 42.5mm diameter case to provide an enhanced wrist presence. Manufactured with excellence with the approval of a Geneva seal, the brushed finish against its polished bevels provides a refined appeal at the same time showcasing the firm’s know-how in its exceptional craftsmanship. Released in a total of three variations in steel, the present example with a lacquered blue dial is certainly the most iconic. Thanks to its clasp and system of three easily interchangeable straps – steel bracelet, rubber, and leather - the watch can be personalized according to the owner’s wishes. Consigned by the original owner, the watch is unworn and like new, complete with all of its original accessories including a blue crocodile and blue rubber strap.
