Universal Geneve “Disco Volante 100108” Dioramic

Offered here is a very hard-to-come-by 1950s Universal Geneve Dioramic, reference 100108/1. These watches were produced in the 1950s in solid gold, and feature a large, “disco volante” style case, with an oversized bezel, and date function at 6 o’clock, powered by a UG bumper movement. These watches have always been something of a novelty in the UG line-up, and most recently, Breitling has decided to relaunch the brand, offering the Dioramic model in a new 37mm case (up 2mm from the original 35mm). The condition of this Universal Geneve Dioramic is great, remaining unpolished (with some minor scuffs to the guilloche bezel), and an untouched dial.
