Swiss. This vintage Universal Genève features an early automatic "bumper" movement, housed in a gold filled case characteristic of mid-century Swiss design. The black dial is accented by gilt markers and traditional dauphine hands. The dial appears to have been professionally refinished. The "bumper" mechanical architecture represents an important period in horological history before the full 360-degree rotor became the industry standard. This timepiece is on a black leather strap. No box.
