This is a classic UG complicated dress watch with day, date, month and moonphase display – a rare and highly collectible piece that doesn’t come up often, especially in solid gold and recently restored. The watch was professionally restored and serviced last year, so it’s running well and ready to wear, while still retaining its vintage character. Condition (please study the photos carefully as they form part of the description): – Dial: Original silver/cream dial with applied gold hour dots and printed minute track. The dial shows even ageing, spotting and small marks across the surface and around the sub-dials. It has honest vintage patina but remains very attractive and completely legible. – Hands: Blued steel leaf hands with matching sub-dial and pointer hands, in good condition with some minor age marks under magnification. – Case: 18K solid yellow gold case in good vintage condition. Lugs remain sharp and well defined. There are surface scratches, hairlines and small marks from normal wear and age, but no major dents or damage. Hallmarks present. – Crystal: Acrylic crystal in good condition with light marks and fine scratches visible at certain angles, consistent with age. – Crown: Gold-tone crown in good working order, winds and sets as it should. – Movement: Manual-wind Universal Geneve calendar movement. Fully serviced as part of the restoration in 2024 (cleaned, oiled and regulated). It is keeping good time for a vintage watch; please allow for minor variation as accuracy was not to modern chronometer standards when new. – Functions: Day and month change correctly, pointer date advances as it should, and the moonphase display is working. Calendar functions on vintage watches can be delicate, so setting instructions should be followed and I recommend not quick-setting around midnight. – Strap: Currently fitted with a black leather strap (non-original) in wearable condition. Buckle is unsigned.
