Two-tone 2-piece case (gold bezel and stainless steel middle). Clipped stainless steel caseback numbered 945093 - dating the watch to 1942 - and confirming reference 21301. The inside of the caseback bears the brand name and logo used between 1937 and 1953, and the words unversteel. Dimensions: 33 mm (incl. 35 mm crown) x 40 mm (incl. handles), Tropical gold dial in very good condition, with two windows (day at 12 o'clock and month at 6 o'clock; both in Spanish) and two registers (date at 3 o'clock and seconds at 9 o'clock). Arabic numerals. The movement is signed Universal Genève 291 and numbered 189060. Calendar functions set by discreet pushers along the case. Rare item in excellent condition and working order, which has been fully serviced (" rhabillage ") by a Master Watchmaker in 2023 with a view to offering for sale this rare item which I personally acquired some twenty years ago in the USA. There are also several signatures on the inside of the lid indicating that the watch has been regularly serviced. Genuine rvc (France) light brown handmade ostrich bracelet with gold-plated folding clasp.
