Universal Genève Ferrovie Dello Stato

An excellent example of the Universal Geneve Ferrovie dello Stato - the iconic railroad watch commissioned for the State Railway of Italy in the 1970s. Full service in March 2023 and a new plexiglass. Supplied with a thick, handmade, dark green leather strap. The dial is incredibly well preserved for its age - clean and crisp with a lovely ivory shade to it. The embossed numerals are all clean and sharp and give a tremendous sense of depth to the dial. The case has the usual marks from age as you would expect but nothing that stands out unduly and is still shiny. The caseback is clean and the FS stamp and serial number are still crisp and legible as the photo shows. The only slight downside is the crown, which I don’t think is original. Selling at an attractive price to rationalise my too large collection of watches! Sold as seen and all taxes/import duties the responsibility of the purchaser.
