This watch features a full annual calendar and a moon phase. The dial looks absolutely immaculate. The watch was bought by the previous owner in 1982 in Cologne, Germany in a jewelery store (receipt available). The caliber has last been serviced in 1985 receiving a few new spare parts and a NOS Universal Genève dial (receipt available). The crown has probably been replaced against a rose gold crown during this service. The old dial does no longer exist. Personally, I have owned this watch for three years now and it has seen very little wrist time. The lugs of this timepiece are hollow, as far as I know; but the case is still described as “solid” as it is not gold-plated. Possibly, this watch has a WWII dial as it seems to have a blind telemeter scale omitting every third second (3, 6, 9, 12, ...); take this as my speculation. My watchmaker recommends this watch be serviced as the rubies are no longer lubricated. However, the time-keeping function and the chronograph function still work excellently. The date function does not work properly: it doesn’t jump at midnight, no matter if you set the time manually or leave the watch running. I think the same applies to the moon phase. The day jumps quite reliably at about 0:30 a.m. The month does jump as well but it is not synchronized with the date and day wheels. The hour counter of the chronograph does not reliably reset to the 12 o’clock position. Sometimes it jumps to 11:30, sometimes to 12:30. This watch needs a service. Go to The Privileged Friend and you can watch an engaged chronograph 1 hour time-lapse. Please mind that I only sell via Chrono24 Certified. I will pay for this service. This watch comes on a textile strap.
