The Polerouter was produced in 1954 by Universal Geneva in collaboration with Scandinavian Airline System (SAS) by a then 24-year-old Gerald Genta (yes, that one). Universal Geneva developed the automatic Polerouter to better withstand the strong magnetic fields at the North and South Poles. Most of the movements didn't have a calendar wheel, but this movement has calendar wheel and the watch a beautiful date window at 3 o'clock and on crystal date magnifier
