Ulysse Nardin Fine Silver Deck Watch With Indirect Center Seconds, circa 1943

Case: 57 mm, sterling silver, three body, screw back, plain, reeded edge Dial: enamel, No. 124008, radial Roman numerals, outer 1/5th second divisions, blued steel spade hands Movement: No. 124008, highly-finished gilt lever movement jeweled through the center, anchor with ruby pallets, Guillaume balance with over coiled blued spring, micrometric precision regulator with slotted cam and spring, button setting Signed: Ulysse Nardin on the case, dial and movement Ulysse Nardin designed a series of deck watches beginning around 1900. The current watch is based on one developed c. 1940 and used by the British Admiralty. Introduced in 1943, present movement was a version improved by the addition of indirect seconds, ruby pallets and Guillaume balance. The newly designed precision regulator replaced the conventional swan's neck of the previous model. 1212 pieces were made .
