Interesting Tudor Oyster gentleman's wristwatch presented to Jeffery Matthews in recognition for his alternative dial and hand designs commissioned by J. Walter Thompson Co. Ltd for Rolex Watches in February 1957. Tudor Oyster Prince Rotor Self-Winding stainless steel gentleman's wristwatch, reference 7944, serial no. 253xxx, circa 1958, silvered dial with Arabic quarter numerals, dagger baton markers, roulette date wheel, dauphine hands and centre seconds, 17 jewel movement, rivetted Oyster bracelet dated '3.57', 34mm (with a spare rivetted Oyster bracelet). With the original Tudor Guarantee dated 7.3.1958. Together with all related documents to include the dial designs, Zurich 1949 weekly bulletin sponsored by Air France, service records etc. Movement currently functioning. Light marks on dial, glass, hands, case but generally good for the period. Crown adjusts correctly. Original bracelet, sold also with a spare bracelet.
