So-called “tool watches” are all the rage these days, and this Pelagos FXD fits the bill perfectly. Based on a mil-spec Tudor watch that was issued to an elite diving unit of the French Marine Nationale in 1969, the timepiece is reliable, robust, highly-legible and perfect for everyday wear. On the wrist, it’s hard to imagine a watch being any more comfortable. It’s super-light for a watch of its size owing to its titanium construction. The fabric/velcro strap perfectly compliments the watch and allows for easy and quick adjustment. Also included is a navy-blue rubber strap with a woven surface appearance, similar to the fabric strap. Powering the watch is the in-house Tudor calibre MT5602 with automatic bi-directional winding, silicon hairspring and 70-hour power reserve. The movement is a Certified Chronometer (COSC), ensuring superb timekeeping performance. Accessories The watch comes as a complete set with box and papers. Condition The watch appears to be in essentially unworn, like-new condition with no visible signs of wear. Warranty Tudor manufacturer’s warranty valid until May 2029.
