Rolex/Tudor introduced this dial and hand configuration to increase visibility in low-light conditions. The Tudor Snowflakes were produced from 1968 to the mid-1980s and were produced with either black or blue dial colorations. The Snowflakes were also made with or without a date complication. The case retains very thick and symmetrical lugs that show light signs of honest use, with crisp finishing throughout. The original Mk III "fat font" bezel insert has faded to an anthracite grey color while showing only very minimal signs of use, the insert also partially retains its tritium pearl, which matches the dial patina. The case retains its original Rolex signed trip-lock crown. The case back retains crisp factory engravings and features minimal wear. The Tudor 9315 folded-link Oyster bracelet with 380 B end pieces is a later service unit and retains 10 links that show light stretch and will fit up to a 7 1/4-inch wrist. DIAL & HANDS The original matte black dial is in virtually perfect condition. The tritium lume plots have aged to a creamy golden patina and exhibit no degradation under UV light inspection. The original tritium hands match the dial almost perfectly and show no degradation when inspected under UV light. ACCESSORIES None. The watch is keeping time, but the service history is unknown.
