Launched in 1969 to challenge Breitling’s market-leading chronograph models, the Heuer Monaco has grown from a relatively unsuccessful square-shaped chronograph into one of the most iconic timepieces within horology. Named after the city-state of Monaco in recognition of its link to F1 due to its Grand Prix, the Heuer Monaco is a timepiece that embodies Formula 1 and its link to watchmaking. Featuring a silver dial, it sports the date at 6 o’clock, and three subdials for the running seconds, a 12-hour subdial and a 30-minute subdial, so that its chronograph is fully functional.
