These watches have been getting more and more attention as they should. They have a great look and Submariner style case with rotating elapsed time bezel, crown guards, and screwed down crown and were originally waterproof to 200 meters. The 1000 appeared as a result of some experimentation with diving watches that the company was doing in the 1970s, and the design borrowed heavily from the Rolex Submariner (but Heuer used a Jubilee style bracelet) which was a good seller at the time for Rolex, though nothing like its iconic status today. Our TAG Heuer Submariner presents in gorgeous condition - about a 9.5 out of 10. Usually the bezel insert shows the most wear on these watches or has been replaced - this one is original and in excellent condition with only light wear. The case shows light signs of previous polishing and slight remnants of wear underneath the lugs from a bracelet. On the wrist it presents as mint. The dial presents as mint. It may be original or it may be a perfect refinishing - it appears factory original to the naked eye. The original mineral glass presents as mint. The original crown still screws down well.
