Johnny Hallyday's favorite watch
Founded by independent watchmaker Philippe Strom in 2001 in Bienne, Strom explores the symbolism of time and asserts its singular status as a goldsmith-watchmaker.
His achievements in silver, palladium or gold are recognizable by their very marked design.
With this very rock model "Memento Mori, Carpe Diem", Daniel Strom combines the art of vanity with the art of watchmaking. This watch, whose title literally means "Remember that you are dying, seize the day", is thought of as an allegory of passing time. An invitation to live here and now, which this timepiece transcribes with an original decor made up of skulls and elements of the Gothic style. The aesthetics of the case, worked in relief, raises questions, and if it would no longer be a question of measuring time but of savoring every second of it?
A very rock spirit that seduced Johnny Hallyday, the French singer acquired this silver model produced in only 88 copies.
A watch collector, Johnny has built up a collection over the course of his life bringing together the most beautiful signatures and iconic models, as well as more special models that stand out for their non-conformity.
Our copy is one of Johnny Halliday's favorite watches, in perfect harmony with the life philosophy of one who aspired only to "live for the best".
