Squale introduced it to celebrate their 65th anniversary and what a way to do it! The case has relatively short lugs, which means that despite being 42mm in diameter, it will still be comfortable on most wrists with the modest 49mm lug to lig distance. The dial is a lovely sandwich design, adding depth and showing the SuperLuminova (Old Radium) beautifully. Having the crown at the 4 o'clock position also contributes to the streamlined look of this watch. The primary thing to make this an incredibly comfortable watch is that both the case and bracelet are made from grade 5 titanium. Grade 5 matters as well, as this has a higher strength to weight ratio than grade 2 and it's more scratch resistant. However it's much more complicated to machine, hence most brands opt for grade 2... Not Squale however! The watch itself is very modern in terms of comfort: thick sapphire crystal with an AR coating, a Sellita SW200-1 Elabore, a tremendous 1200 meters water resistance, possible thanks to the helium valve, and a very comfortable titanium bracelet and additional rubber strap. This watch comes with the updated clasp with quick adjustment. This is a true Master-piece!
