The watch is fitted with a new Sinn strap, which perfectly emphasizes the military character of the watch. Furthermore, the glass and bezel have been replaced (all original Sinn parts) and the watch has been freshly adjusted. The 156 series was never officially used for military purposes, but has its origins in the Heuer 1550: When the German Armed Forces retired this model in the 1980s, Sinn bought up many used models and remaining stocks and sold them successfully as the Sinn 155. When this source dried up, the visually similar 156 was developed as a successor and received the Lemania 5100 movement used in the Bundeswehr chronographs at that time, i.e. an automatic movement.
