Description

Seiko 41.5mm Men's Kinetic Sportura Chronograph SLQ019 Black Watch 9T82-0AF0

Seiko Kinetic Sportura chronograph, reference 9T82-0AF0 (SLQ019), from around 2005. This is part of a limited run of 2005 pieces, with this example numbered 0686/2005. It has a 41.5mm asymmetrical black stainless steel case with a fixed bezel and black dial with multiple subdials, there is heavy wear all around the case and bracelet. The watch uses a Japan-made kinetic movement, combining automatic charging with quartz regulation, and features a chronograph, date display, and 100m water resistance. The watch is currently running but needs a new capacitor. When charged, it runs properly, all functions including the chronograph work as they should, and it keeps time and sets correctly. However, it will not hold charge overnight and the seconds hand ticks every two seconds, which is a clear sign the capacitor has worn out. This is expected for a watch of this age and has been reflected in the price. Service history is unknown. It comes on the original black stainless steel bracelet (33V2-ZI), which tapers from 25mm at the case down to 20mm at the clasp. There is heavy wear on the upper portion of the bracelet, the other half actually looks great. The bracelet is missing a few removable links and will fit my 7.25 inch wrist tightly. Please note the front screws are not original, other than that everything else checks, it’s a great watch and at this price point you could easily take care of the details and still have a great piece. No box or papers are included.
