Details: This limited edition Seiko Presage SARX087 captures the nostalgic world of “Castle in the Sky” through the timeless craftsmanship of Seiko, a brand with over 100 years of watchmaking heritage. The dial features a soft, warm enamel finish, crafted under the supervision of Japan’s renowned enamel master, Mitsuru Yokozawa. Roman numeral indexes and classic “glasses-style” hands evoke the charm of vintage clock towers. At the 6 o’clock position, you’ll find the crest of the Laputa royal family seen on Sheeta’s pendant printed on the dial. The same crest is also embedded in the crown, using glass to represent the mystical flying stone. On the exhibition case back, a photo taken by Pazu’s father when he discovered Laputa is printed on the sapphire glass, while the metal portion is engraved with the iconic spell from the film: “Leetay Latuparita Ulus Aria Los Balu Netoreel” (Translated: “Help me, light, revive.”) The enamel dial, made by firing glass glaze onto metal at high temperatures, retains its color and brilliance for years to come. The rounded case design pairs beautifully with the genuine cordovan leather strap crafted from the hindquarters of a horse, known for its rich texture and graceful aging.
