Seiko King J14102

Description

Seiko King J14102

First Generation Seiko KS Circa 1962 The first generation of J14102 is the development of the first generation King Seik0 by Daini which represents the development of Grand Seiko. The King Seiko J14102 from 1962 was the first generation of the KS, made from mid-1961 to mid-1964 with a gold-stamped (thick gold-plated) model. As with all Seikos from this period, the star logo is used to differentiate the different qualities of markings used on the dial, for the KS I am showing it has an eight-pointed star punctuated by a blank four-pointed star, indicating a special dial (SD) with markers in solid yellow gold or solid white gold. It's always a plus to look for rarer custom dial models as the markers tend to stay bright, whereas other types of markers like Applied Dial (AD) sometimes wear down over time.
