It was the first Japanese-made automatic wristwatch to receive official chronometer certification. When I first saw this particular watch, I was surprised to see a King Seiko with such a design! King Seiko watches are generally associated with a robust, masculine image, and have even been reissued in recent years. I was very curious why they would create a model with such a round, Tamagotchi-like case. Furthermore, this watch in near-deadstock condition is extremely rare. The case and case back are almost completely free of scratches, and the back medallion, which is prone to corrosion, is in excellent condition. The hands and dial are also beautiful.
