Sortie en l'an 2000 en série limitée à seulement 2000 exemplaires mondiaux, elle rend hommage à la légendaire 56KS, souvent considérée comme le sommet absolu de l'ère King Seiko, modèle qui rivalisait directement avec Grand Seiko à son époque. Seiko n'a rien laissé au hasard : boîtier fidèle à la Grammaire du Design Seiko de la 56KS, verre saphir bombé et saillant au-dessus du cadran comme sur l'originale, et l'iconique médaillon caseback en or 14 carats.
