Here is a fantastic, all original 1st generation King Seiko from 1963. The silver sunburst dial is in excellent condition, with barely any marks. This is a so-called Special Dial (SD), with wide and chunky solid yellow gold hour markers, double at 12 o’clock. The faceted golden dauphine hands are in very fine condition. The 14K gold filled bezel is in very fine condition with only light overall wear. The 14K gold filled case with the original crown and elegant, long lugs is in very fine condition with only light overall wear, mostly at the lugs. The 14K gold filled case back has a very well preserved shield medallion and is in very fine condition with just a few small marks. The watch comes on an after market leather strap and buckle of good quality. Inside the watch, Seiko’s high grade 54A-based King Seiko movement beats strongly and accurately to within about +-12 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in August 2023 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning. The first generation KS is not easy to find anymore and in this condition they are a real find. This is a gem of a watch that will add to any collection while also being a wonderful watch to wear as part of a regular rotation schedule.
