Here is a stunning, all original King Seiko 1st generation Special Dial from 1963. The brushed silver Special Dial is in very fine condition, with black lettering and faceted solid gold bar hour markers, double at 12 o’clock. There is a small spot to the right of the Special Dial logo and another couple of spots around the 11 o’clock hour marker. The beveled golden dauphine hands are in very fine condition. The 14K gold filled bezel is in very fine condition, with light overall wear. The 14K gold filled case with long, elegant lugs and the original crown is in overall fine condition with some noticeable wear at the lugs. This looks more pronounced in the photos than to the naked eye. The 14K gold filled case back has a well preserved KS shield of the 1st generation and is in very fine condition with light overall wear. The watch comes on an after market leather strap and buckle of good quality. Inside the watch, Seiko’s high grade King Seiko movement beats strongly and accurately to within about +-12 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in April 2023 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning. We don’t see the 1st generation KS too often, and the wonderful condition of this one is very attractive to a vintage lover.
