I was told the watch was serviced prior to my purchasing it. Runs very smooth and extremely quiet. You have to really press it hard to your ear to hear it ticking. The Hi-Beat 36,000 bph sweep of the seconds hand is beautiful to watch. Slight age related colour patina at the 8 O’Clock marker and some barely noticeable dial edge degradation below the 6 and 7 O’Clock markers. Originally a white sunburst dial, it has developed a beautiful silver patina. The gold medallion on the caseback is in perfect condition (no chipping or discoloration as is common on these models). The Zaratsu high-polish case is in great condition with only the usual signs of light use over the years, and one noticeable scratch on the bottom right bevel. The signature "grammar of design" angular bevels remain sharp as intended by designer Taro Tanaka. A wonderful example of a 1969 King Seiko no date Hi-Beat.
