The King Seiko Vanac line consisted of colorful dials, facetted crystals and angular cases. They also came with a high quality integrated bracelet (no folded metal links). Within the Seiko lineup, the Vanac / King Seiko models were second only to Grand Seiko during the 1960’s and 70’s. For the Vanac line there was no official explanation why they were called Vanac. They were high quality watches with a funky 70s design language. Details such as cases, hands and dials were - at the time - almost GS quality. The green sunburst dial of the watch is nothing short of awesome and features specific Vanac-type indexes and handset. The crystal is a faceted hardlex cyrstal as usual with the Vanac line. Condition details: The movement is full functional and runs well. The crystal consists of minor scratches. While the faceted crystals are probably not easy to come by, it should be easy to polish out the scratches. The dial is beautiful and very nice condition, save for a small speck close to center / see the photos. The case has age-appropriate marks of normal wear. The crown is original King Seiko. The bracelet is the original King Seiko - Vanac bracelet, which were famous for being probably the first Seiko production bracelets in full metal and not folded metal. The clasp bears the original Vanac logo! Mind you, the maximum wrist circumference is only around 17 cm.
