Here is a wonderful, all original 1st generation King Seiko from 1962. The silver sunburst dial is in very fine condition, with wide ribbed golden hour markers, double at 12 o’clock. The 12 o’clock hour markers have slid slightly out of alignment. The faceted golden dauphine hands are in very fine condition. The 14K gold filled bezel is in fine condition with light overall wear, perhaps most notable at around 4 and 6 o’clock. The 14K gold filled case with the original crown and elegant, long lugs is in very fine condition with light wear, mostly towards the lugs. The 14K gold filled case back has a well preserved shield medallion and is in very fine condition with just a few small marks. The watch comes on an after market leather strap and buckle of good quality. Inside the watch, Seiko’s high grade 54A-based King Seiko movement beats strongly and accurately to within about +-12 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in March 2023 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning. The first generation KS is not easy to find anymore and when in this condition they are a real find. This is a gem of a watch that will add to any collection while also being a wonderful watch to wear as part of a regular rotation schedule.
