The silver sunburst dial is in very fine condition, with black lettering and faceted steel bar hour markers, double at 12 o’clock. There are a few small spots around the dial such as to the left of the dial center and around the 10 and 11 o’clock hour markers. The beveled dauphine hands are in very fine condition. The stainless steel bezel is in fine condition with light overall wear, perhaps most notable at around 8 o’clock. The stainless steel case with long, elegant lugs and the original crown is in very fine condition with some overall wear both at the lugs and case sides. The stainless steel case back has a well preserved KS shield of the 1st generation and is in very fine condition with light overall wear. The watch comes on an after market leather strap and buckle of good quality. Inside the watch, Seiko’s high grade King Seiko movement beats strongly and accurately to within about +-12 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in August 2024 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning. We don’t see the 1st generation KS too often, and the wonderful condition of this one is very attractive to a vintage lover.
